Everything you need to know about practicing on MindVsYou.
General
About MindVsYou
The basics — what it is and how it works.
MindVsYou is a WhatsApp-based practice bot for CBSE Class 10 students. You send a "Hi" on WhatsApp and the bot starts sending you CBSE-aligned MCQs and case-based questions for your board exam preparation. No app download, no account creation needed.
Right now, MindVsYou is designed specifically for Class 10 CBSE students preparing for their board exams. We plan to expand to Class 9 and other boards in the future.
No. MindVsYou works entirely on WhatsApp, which you already have. There is no separate app to download, no website to log in to, and no form to fill out. Just open WhatsApp and say Hi.
Yes, you can start for free. We offer free access to a set of questions across all subjects. There is no credit card required to start. Premium plans with unlimited questions and progress tracking are available for students who want more.
Currently we cover all four main CBSE Class 10 subjects: Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics), and English. More content is added regularly.
Using the Bot
How to practice
Step by step — so you know exactly what to expect.
Click the "Try on WhatsApp" button on this website. It will open WhatsApp with our number already added. Just send "Hi" and follow the prompts — you will be practicing within 60 seconds.
The bot sends you a multiple-choice question with options labeled A, B, C, D. Simply reply with the letter of your choice — for example, type "B" and send. The bot immediately tells you if you are right or wrong and explains the answer.
Yes. At any point during your practice session, you can type "Menu" to go back to the subject selection screen and choose a different subject.
Case-based questions are a format introduced by CBSE in recent years. They give you a short passage or scenario and ask multiple questions based on it. These now make up a significant portion of the CBSE board paper. MindVsYou specifically drills you on these formats so you are prepared.
Yes. If you stop mid-session, the bot saves where you left off. You can come back anytime — even days later — and type "Resume" to continue from where you stopped.
On the free plan, you can practice up to 20 questions per day across all subjects. On premium plans, there is no daily limit.
Progress & Scores
Tracking your practice
How to see your scores and understand your progress.
Yes. Type "My Progress" in the chat at any time to see how many questions you have practiced, your accuracy per subject, and your streak. This works right inside WhatsApp — no separate login needed.
Yes. At the end of every practice session, the bot sends you a short summary: how many questions you attempted, how many you got right, and a quick tip on what to focus on next.
By default, your progress is private. If your school has enrolled you in a school plan, your teacher may be able to see aggregate data through their dashboard. You will be notified during onboarding if this is the case.
Technical
Device, data & privacy
Common technical questions.
It works on any smartphone — Android or iPhone — that has WhatsApp installed. It does not work on WhatsApp Web (computer browser) because the bot requires a mobile interaction flow.
Very little. Each question is sent as a text message, so data usage is minimal — similar to a regular WhatsApp chat. A full 30-question practice session uses less than 1 MB of data.
Your phone number is only used to identify your practice session. We do not share, sell, or misuse your number. The only messages you receive are practice questions and progress updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by typing "Stop".
Try typing "Hi" again to restart. If the issue persists, contact us at hello@mindvsyou.in or tap the Contact Us link in the footer. We usually respond within a few hours.
